Dr. A. P. AJAYKUMAR. PhD, M.Phil, MSc, MEd, MA.

He has received his PhD in Zoology from University of Calicut. The title of his PhD thesis is ELUCIDATION OF PRIMARY STRUCTURES OF ADIPOKINETIC NEUROPEPTIDES OF THE INSECTS, OXYA NITIDULA, AULARCHES MILIARIS, IPHITA LIMBATA AND ORYCTES RHINOCEROS. During his research period he isolated, fractionated and elucidated the primary structures of the adipokinetic hormones from the insects using highly sophisticated techniques like High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Matrix assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) and MALDI-MS/MS analyses. He is a recipient of Junior Research Fellowship of Council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) New Delhi in Life Sciences (finished his PhD using this fellowship) and UGC-NET in MEd. He also presented papers in national and international conferences. He is teacher in Higher Secondary section of this school.
